ePetition: “Keine verdachtsunabhängige Weitergabe von Daten an andere Staaten”

Oh well… there seems to be a new firmware out for the N97, but mine has still V 10.0.012 with special version 10.0.012.246.03, which seems to be the version of the telephone provider, namely Vodafone. Yes, it’s branded.
Because the newer firmware seems to fix some annoying issues, I wonder how to get this new firmware on my N97. Via software update and the Nokia website it’s been telling me that I already have the newest firmware, but from other N97 users I’ve been told that there’s at least a V 11.something. I’m somewhat cowardly hesitating in using some strange tools and procedures from the internet to fix this problem all by myself. Maybe I should visit the Nokia shop again where I’ve bought the N97 and ask them to do it for me. I guess there are more experienced with firmware updates… uhmm…
